Position Description: Irrigation Service Manager

What Our Service Managers Do:

We’re currently seeking an Irrigation Service Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and leading our team of Service Technicians. The Service Manager will direct the work of up to 8 other team members and ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.

Time will be split between two areas:

Oversee and assist with the technician workload. Includes:
  • Spring turn-ons for 4,000+ irrigation systems, including troubleshooting/repairing any problems that arise.
  • Coordinate routine service calls such as: replacing damaged sprinkler heads, repairing or replacing leaking pipes, re-programming controllers, re-routing irrigation pipes from invasive tree roots, replacing faulty valves, etc.
  • Add, move, remove, or repair entire zones based upon homeowner projects that run into the irrigation system (new patio, pool, sidewalk, fence, etc)
  • Properly winterizing 4,000+ irrigation systems to prevent winter freezing damages.
Working in the office, completing administrative responsibilities. Includes:
  • Monitoring day-to-day operations of the service technician team.
  • Monitoring on-hand stock and re-ordering as needed.
  • Addressing and resolving homeowner service concerns.
  • Addressing and resolving service technician concerns.
  • Help develop and train on an ongoing basis.

Communication skills are key! Position requires regularly talking with homeowners and business site managers- kindness is a must.

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, Saturday availability in Spring and Fall seasons.
  • Prior experience as an irrigation technician- including turn-ons, repairs, and winterizations.
  • Leadership & communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Rate: $65,000 – 75,000 per year
